Good Morning!
I haven't posted in a while, (we've been busier than ever!), but I wanted to share this because it really touched me and I thought our supporters would appreciate it!
For the past month we've been busy providing gowns for the upcoming Tim Tebow Foundation Night to Shine event. For those of you who don't know, Night to Shine is a prom for special needs attendants that is held all over on one special night. This year it's February 13th.
Yesterday, Lisa came in. We've provided formal wear for Lisa for the past 3 years, so we've gotten to know her pretty well.
Lisa is very short, and small framed, with small feet and she's ALWAYS cold, so fitting her always presents a challenge. By the grace of God, and the generosity of our donors, we always find something for her.
This year she was the happiest I've seen her. Somebody donated a petite gown that fit her just the way she wanted it to. We had 1 pair of size 5 dress shoes left, and a fur that wrapped her in warm elegance.
She was so happy, she hugged me multiple times, and with each item that she added to her ensemble, she gave me her signature "heart" sign.
As her "Fairy Godmother", I got the honor of placing the shoes on her feet. When they fit her just like Cinderella, she proceeded to walk like a model, up and down the entirety of the Boutique, lifting her foot and going into her "model pose" as we cheered her on.
Lisa is just one of the many that we have served for this year's N2S event. The joy we receive while serving the special needs community is unmatched by anything else we do. It's such a special time for us.
I want you to know that without your support (both through donations of items and finances), we could never be able to provide these services to bless those that the Lord sends our way!
