Sammy decided he wanted to be Meta Knight (a Kirby video game character) for Halloween. There was no pre made costume to be found so it was time to bring out the art skills and ask Shaun to bring his engineering skills to construct the sword. It turns out that with cardboard, papermache, joint compound, air dry clay, and paint you can make anything 😁

Just in case you think all my creative endeavors turn out well…🤣

In case you’re the kinda person that has to know what happened…it’s not very exciting. Air dry clay shrinks and wooden jewelry boxes do not. So the clay cracked as it shrank. I could have worked with that except that I then accidentally let the door fall open while mending the other side. So now plan B!
