I’ve been pulling out my fall. I can’t wait. I had a lot going on in the middle of my table. I decided it was way too much. I’m going simple this year. (At least I’m going to try) 😝. In the last couple of years I’ve slowed down a lot on putting everything out. Gosh I remember when I was a young mother , I would take everything off the shelves, walls and put up fall and Christmas. Well I guess I’m a little lazy and maybe a little wiser in my old age. Now I try to just add a little to what I already have as decor. Sometimes less is best. Well Sometimes 😉

I’m not sure about y’all, but I think these old cast iron doorstops are absolutely gorgeous. It’s just something about them. I try to get them when I find a great deal. They can be used for doorstops of course, bookends, or sometimes just standing alone showing off their beauty! Think about what we use today! lol That ugly little brown rubber wedge! Whew we have come a long way!😝

This is my dining room centerpiece. I’ll be posting it again soon decorated with my fall decor. I love this big pot from Hobby Lobby. I love terracotta and pottery. The old books came from my sister. The bookends and soup/gravy bowl were thrifted. The cutting board/riser came from Antique Adoption. And I just got the cast iron candlesticks from my daughter. My dining table is round. I wanted it round so everyone could see and visit with each other. It’s not full very often unfortunately, but when it is… it’s a fun time! I wish people enjoyed dinner together more often. ❤️
