Su Alterations would like to thank the Kent County Health Department team and their families for their tireless work and sacrifice in keeping our community safe. We have seen the first-rate care, compassion, expertise, and leadership demonstrated by Dr. Adam London and team in helping families affected by Covid-19. You folks are our heroes. We appreciate you more than you could ever know.
Su Alterations would also like to thank the team at Macatawa Bank, including Melanie Salamone, Ryan Hoogstra, and Cindy Varney for providing invaluable service to our business in these challenging times. The team at Macatawa Bank is proactive, communicative, professional, efficient, and fast(!), allowing us to focus our energies on pivoting our business strategy.
Last, Su Alterations would like to thank The Right Place, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, and Governor Gretchen Whitmer for your support of local small businesses. Susan Bui immigrated to west Michigan in the early 80s after the Vietnam War; she arrived penniless, with no formal education or training, became an apprentice seamstress to a local tailor and later opened her own small tailor shop while raising a growing family. Nearly 30 years later, she has put 6 children through college, opened tailor shops in Kentwood, Grandville, Portage, and Muskegon, and tailored garments for customers for the most important milestones in their lives - from baptisms to proms to college graduations to weddings. Her business provides livelihood not just for her family, but for her staff and their families as well. There is no other place we would rather live or work than Grand Rapids and Kent County. Thank you so much, West Michigan, for your past, present and future support. With all of our love, - The team at Su Alterations.
We'd like to express our sincere gratitude to Crystal Bui and Su Alterations for reaching out on behalf of the Vietnamese community and donating 100 hand-made cloth masks to the KCHD. These masks will be distributed to some of Kent County's most vulnerable populations. We thank you for your incredibly generous donation!
