New to me dress pattern! I actually strayed from the pattern a little bit by making it a lined bodice. I had to get creative with the v neck opening, but it worked!

This is a super simple, over the head throw on dress. I added some vintage eyelet trim for fun. You can leave the ties undone or tied up in a little bow.

Said goodbye to some of my dresses yesterday as they went to better homes 😢 here are a few of them!

1. Nottingham: vintage fabrics I picked up at an estate sale. This one was hard to say goodbye to. I only had enough of this fabric to make that size. I have a few scrap pieces left that I might be able to squeeze some banners out of 🥰
2. Jasper: another vintage fabric find, I think by my mom!
3. Galena: started working with knit this past year. I’m still learning and have a lot to work on but I think the buttery soft fabric makes it worth it!
4. Torino: another knit but this time I experimented with the lettuce hem to finish. I love the shape of the skirt on this one.

The craft show was so busy yesterday and I am so tired. Now it’s time to organize and clean my sewing area that’s been in disarray for the past few weeks 😝

Another dress I’m really proud of, this fall Liberty! The plaid is actually a heavier weight; thicker, canvas like cotton. Because of that, it holds such a pretty shape and will give major twirl. I found the fabric at an estate sale a couple years ago!

Spent the time working on extra details like the embroidery of the collar and bodice. I also added the fabric covered buttons to complete it.

When you sew you become a hoarder of fabric. I have so many fabric scraps that are too small to make dresses out of but too big to just throw away.

I wanted a creative way to use up some of the scrap and I found one! These are actually a lot fun to make and I love them. I actually made a Christmas one that I love and decided to keep for myself 😂

Ahhh I’m so incredibly proud of this dress I made. This time getting ready for the craft show, I decided to take my time and focus on the details on a couple of the dresses. Pro: more detailed dresses Con: less dresses made 🤪

This liberty has the Peter Pan collar, fabric covered matching buttons, sash bow, and embroidered details all over. This dress took me about 7 hours of love (spread out over 4-5 days) and I love it! It’s one of a kind 🎁

It will be for sale at the Rockford High School Arts and Crafts Fair this Saturday, November 8th, 9a-3pm!

A momma reached out wanting some UofM skirts for her girls. Preston skirts for the win! And matching bows of course 💁🏼‍♀️

These skirts require a lot of hand gathering but the twirl on these is worth every minute!!

Love a good pattern mashup! Family member reached out wanting a dress for her daughter for a wedding they were attending. She picked out the fabric from my stash and I matched a vibrant fall yellow. It turned out wonderfully!

The liberty skirt is the best skirt for the ultimate twirl 🪄✨ Matching hair bow and bow tie for her little brother 💜

Only a few more weeks until the Rockford High School Arts & Crafts Fair! I’ll be a vendor there again. Saturday November 8th 9am-3pm

Someone reached out to me to make her kids some outfits for an upcoming wedding they’re attending in Spain. I already had the toddler boy overalls and we worked together to find fabric she liked from my stash to create a coordinating look.

The blue is an Oxford cotton embroidered with the sweetest little hearts. I used a vintage embroidered cotton fabric for the girls skirt.
