Here is my drawing on fabric project so far; I keep adding to it. Next I want to do something on the back. When I get home I will sew it together. I have to say that being alone in a pretty big house (except for Theo and Mini-Mother the cat) is a nice opportunity for creativity.

I am house-sitting at Anne & Evan's house where I can spread out all over the place. Here is my latest project: drawing on fabric. I plan to make a tunic with doodles on it. Then I will wear it in the rain to see if I turn all different colors.

A while ago Bob at the theater gave me a bag of vintage patterns, some as old as 40's. This is one I made for Lydia from a 1963 pattern. I haven't worked from a pattern in a long time. It was a good exercise. The fabric is cotton, as usual, with little black and aqua birds. Cute?

Sewing for Grownups: these are tunics that I have been playing around with. The one with buttons began as a slip on, but I was wearing it when I broke my arm and they had to cut it off in the emergency room. Thanks to some careful cutting I was able to remake it. (I need to bring them a treat.) The other one is from T-shirts. I have a few more in mind and the good news for me is that I can sew again.
