Sentimental pieces are some of my very favorite projects. My client had a hard pregnancy and her son had a difficult first couple years. To commemorate that struggle and survival, she asked that I take the cloth diapers they used (clean of course) to make a quilt. This project was incredibly taxing. Turns out, sewing diaper material is horrendous. A couple yards of interfacing and an hour of swearing at a seam ripper later, things finally came together. Sometimes, you just need to find the tools you need to make sure you can do your best! I’m so excited to wrap this for her so she and her son both get the full surprise!

One Captain America mask, some white mesh, black cardboard from suspenders I got ages ago, a hot glue gun and paint make one bold cyclops eye! I absolutely love seeing (ha) what I can do with found materials. Almost anything can be part of a costume piece if you do it right! I’m SO excited to get the rest of this show up and running! Big thanks again to for bringing me on for Xanadu!
