Last week for vendor 17 occupying this booth on the main floor on the western wall next to the bathroom at Wally’s Treasures!

This booth will be vacated by me on April 30 and reoccupied by a subsequent tenant.

I spent the day today with my discount marker, slashing items, and rearranging this booth nicely.

I took time to snap some photos, which you see here.

Continuing sales days for me in this booth are Friday, Saturday, Sunday this week and Wednesday and Thursday next week

Don’t wait for the last minute to capture some great deals. I slashed a bunch of items today to the tune of 50% off.

$32,000 for an old crock that almost ended up in a garage sale.

A 91-year-old woman in Nebraska had this big stoneware crock sitting on her back porch for decades. It had been in the family for generations and mostly just lived outside next to the grill collecting dust.

Her late husband even used it like a little side table while barbecuing. Utensils and platters would get set on top, and at one point they were even storing a spare propane tank inside it.

Eventually the family started talking about getting rid of it. It was heavy, in the way, and nobody thought it was anything special. A garage sale was seriously on the table and they figured maybe it would bring $20… maybe $100 if someone really wanted it.

Instead, she called a local auction that happened to be featuring antique crocks and asked if they could squeeze hers in at the last minute.

When the auctioneer came out and looked it over, he realized it was not an ordinary crock.

It was a 30-gallon Red Wing stoneware crock with the rare blue butterfly marking, “elephant ear” handles, and something collectors almost never see… two maker stamps instead of one.

The family was hoping maybe it would bring a few hundred dollars.

Auction day came and collectors started battling for it.

Final price: $32,000.

Not bad for something that spent decades sitting on a back porch next to a grill.

Post update for my booth at Wallys Castle antique mall.

Today I brought in about 30 records. All of them in mint or near mint condition. Lots of classic stuff. You can see that the front of the stack in the box on the right is - How the west was Won.

I was more concerned in getting everything priced up and in the store before I had to leave than remembering which titles I had for this post. Laughing out loud I’m just randomly remembering certain artists entitled is such as: Engelbert; Ed Sullivan show; Roy Clark;.. some very nice Columbia Records special edition Christmas albums, sponsored by Goodyear; Some classical albums; 18th century music.  Again, all of these are mostly in MINT condition. 

I am a maven for excellent to mint condition. Most all of these fit in that category.

So for a buck a piece roughly, you can’t go wrong!

I priced nearly every one of these records at $1.17 each.

I am currently running a 20% off sale right now. So come on in and get them.

There are various other assorted category items for sale in my open shelf, including Brooks, Vhs, DVDs, plus toys, jewelry, music media. 8 track tape. Music compact  cassette. Glassware, which is located in the bingo hall Aisle #1 all the way to the left halfway down to the back in the bingo hall.

There are many excellent classic vinyl albums in the full price bin.

New today from Vendor 17 at Wally’s Castle!

I had a lot of fun this evening revamping my booth. I’m in the bingo hall in the first aisle all the way to the left, midway back. You can find my open shelf unit. I brought in some nice goodies today.

I have a nice collection of plush toys. Today I brought in Betty Boop and some Halloween collectibles and I really like the bat stuffed animal that hangs upside down! There are also some other cool, stuffed animal, and plush dolls, representing Christmas and other assorted themes.

I brought in some cheap jewelry for sale that is a lot of fun - and affordable. Some of those jewelry items include bracelets, bangles, and necklaces. There’s even a necklace with a Hannah Montana pendant which somebody will find nicely vintage and collectible. 

There is a nice selection of vintage vinyl LP records offered for sale: I really like the soundtrack from the Chicago movie that is on vinyl. That’s a pretty hard one to find.

Lot’s of other good stuff is available to see. Toward of the end of this month is the “Saint Wally” sale. I will be offering 20% off whatever is in my offerings.

But I feel out of these new items stocked today many are going to be purchased before that. So come on in today and see what you can find.

The mall has done a nice job of providing feel good music throughout the entire mall. I really enjoyed hearing some great hits from the 80s today as I worked. And I’m sure you will as well shopping!
