Meet Eagle. π¦
She's a brass-headed cane I fell in love with during a photoshoot years ago and I saved her because some things are too remarkable to walk away from. This week, she walks me back into the world.
I am not great at rest. These past weeks in bed have been necessary, humbling, and hard. My body (and family) said not yet. I'm listening.
But while I was resting, something more special was happening.
You know when you build something with your whole heart, and then you have to step back and trust it to others? I stepped back. And they didn't blink. Not once.
Our entire team, staff and board showed up in ways I couldn't have scripted. They run the classes and meetings. They cared for the children and their families. They represented us at events on my behalf. They didnt waited to be asked to continue moving forward. They just did.
They showed up for the kids, for the mission, for each other! All while I was resting. They held the fort with the kind of quiet excellence that doesn't ask for applause.
I am thankful. I am honored. And I cannot wait to see them this week. I can not wait to walk through our studio door. Eagle in hand. Back to my people (even if for just a few hours to start). π€
Fashion is our medium. Transformation is the mission.
