I literally have not been in my studio for over a year...what???? Family health issues have made "caregiver" my new role. It's one I'm blessed to take on. My schedule, like everyone's, was turned upside down by this virus and I have found more time on my hands and a renewed need for creativity.

So, I made my mother (who will turn 91 next week) a . She has always loved that pattern and the samples I made while developing it. This one is actually a washable home dec fabric, perfect for spring, or when you need something light in air conditioning! She says she has nowhere to wear it since we are under 'stay at home' order and says she might just put it on and sit on her sidewalk🤣🤣🤣. It felt good being surrounded by my stash, my tools...oh the possibilities.

This summer jazz dress pushed all my buttons. The fabric (from sew batik), the fit, the flow....absolutely beautiful kat!

i know fall is coming and i should be making plans using wool, flannel and corduroy (and i am!), but i couldn't resist one more summer project. i used a bit of my clothesline stash (yep...i've got a clothesline stash!) and made a handbag. it's up on the blog and the link is there for the free pattern.

big news!!! i have a brand new website!! same address, www.snapdragonstudios.net but a whole new look, and mobile friendly!! the blog will now be a part of the webiste so you can shop, check for sales, get tutorials and free patterns...and read the blog all in one place. i'm still here....and on instagram . hope you'll all visit me at my new home!

it only took me 9 months (something like giving birth!) to post kyle and amy's wedding on the blog. it was sooo hard to pick favorite pictures, and each time i would sit down to look i would get carried away with memories of that day. the wedding is on the blog...excuse me while i go spend another hour looking at pictures!
