French Flower Book, Vintage Botanical illustrated book by Fernand Nathan, Fleurs des Pres at des Bois
In GOOD reading condition. Undated. In French. No dust jacket. Decorative and colorful hard paper cover is creased. Lovely little book with signs of soiling upon the cover and some leaves. Pages are glossy and full color illustrations of botanical flowers labeled in the French language are found throughout the entire book. Perhaps circa 1960s since there is no barcode on the backside and the style is reminiscent of the mid 20th century.

In GOOD reading condition. Signed, first edition copy form the thirties. No dust jacket. Bent, scuffed spine tips and torn, frayed corners of the orange canvas covered boards. Fading to spine. Leaves slightly brown, may be from age or perhaps they always were this color as they flip easily and beautifully. The pages are that lightweight, old fashion paper from the 1930s which is quite like newsprint, perhaps due to the war time conservation efforts. Decorative endpapers. No marked, creased, loose, missing leaves. No odors. A very clean, illustrated copy of a creative book by a well-known and sought after author from the 20th century.
Frances Margaret Fox (1870 -1959) is an American author, best known for her "Little Bear" stories for children. She wrote fifty-one books and many magazine articles over the course of her career.
