I made Kurt a new bookmark for his Bible. I'm giving it to him for Valentine's Day to show him my love. And, as much as I love him and he loves me, there's One who loved the world enough to come and rescue said world from sin. This Valentine's Day, I encourage you to think on the perfect love that only God can give. He wants YOU in His family. Trust Him to forgive your sins and follow what He says in His word, the Bible. ❤️

Sometimes when I'm cardmaking I get stuck in the process. So many times God surprises me with how He works out the issues I'm struggling with. Really, words can't express how my heart is blessed by His care and how He works it out for me. A prime example is this birthday card that was just going to be a "practice" card...

Being a cardmaker, I always have paper scraps and look for ways to use them. On this card, I glued paper strips on to scrap copy paper and then die cut rectangles out of that. Arrange them, glue them, and add sentiments on the outside and inside... there you have it!

This birthday card is for a grand niece. When I added the square diecuts, I didn't realize til afterwards that they reminded me of decorated cake layers. I then added some layers that I hoped looked like frosting. Next time I'll freehand cut them I wasn't exactly pleased with the results, but it's done now. 😉

A fun card for a new 8 year old! Unfortunately, the die set I was all excited to use for this came with no instructions...and the YouTube video related to the set didn't give the best instructions either, so through some trial and error, I got it figured out and I love it!
