Tomorrow is it. The end of the Painted Pelican Antique Shop in Grayland. I am sad but am so happy to see so many of you who have supported me come to say goodbye to my beloved building and my store. I will be open tomorrow from 10 am to 3 pm only. And then I will be packing up everything and I will say goodbye to June. I will be leaving her a rug so she can continue dancing her little heart away.

Funny thing happened today. A friend was helping me finish setting up for the end of the decade of The Painted Pelican Antique Shop 3 day clearance sale. Yep - it has actually been a few weeks over 10 years since Joyce talked me into "try having a shop. It'll be fun." It has been fun. But today there was a surprise visitor. A process server from an attorney's office in Hoquiam hired by the owner's son who is now in charge. He handed me a Notice to Terminate Tenancy. He wanted to make it clear that if I fail to remove myself by the end of my lease - June 18th - I will be subject to eviction and further legal fees. LOL!!! Makes me wonder why he did this. Never late on payments. Never any problems with since this man took over except with his malicious realtor who doesn't understand what a "required 48-hour notice for showing" means. Hope it doesn't sit on the market again for another six years when she was the listing agent before. Would love to see it back in business again.

Well. I am now permanently closed at this location. Thank you all for the fabulous support and friendship you have given me for 10 years! I appreciate all of you and will miss you coming in - if just to say hello and chat or buy something. Most of the time that was the highlight of my day!☺️I now have a small booth at PAST AND PRESENT MERCANTILE IN ABERDEEN at 114 East Heron Street. Of course it is not as big as this but I do have some things that you still may love. I am also selling online and will post that later. If you have eyed something, I may still have it. Please call me at 360-591-5428. Oh and the building owner still has not sold it. I’m hoping that someone will realize that this was NEVER a 2 bedroom house like the realtor listed but was built as a shop. Some people never listen to documented history. 😂 I love this building. It’s a wonderful space with a 1 bedroom apartment upstairs. But you all know that. Help save this old girl.

This is the last week I will be open. Tomorrow through Friday I will be open 11 to 3 pm. Saturday 12 to 4:30 Sunday ad Monday 11 to 3. Then that’s all folks. My 10 years is over. Come on down and see what’s left that you may want.
