Yes, I get excited by antique tools and hardware. LOOK AT THE FONT on this old voltmeter!! I think I picked this up for 5 bucks almost 10 years ago and it has front and center placement in the mail sorter. No idea on the date, but clearly from when we used to make the functional beautiful as well. No makers mark or other identifiers.

Next up in the cabinet of curiosities - this weird little scrunched up face in a tiny ceramic jar. No markings whatsoever, picked up at an estate sale years ago. He makes me laugh. Behind him is the first mineral sample I ever received, a nice piece of amethyst, setting off what would become a lifetime of collecting.

When you attempt a booth reset but have more ambition than time… 😳 AND you have to work through a bunch of issues (some self-created):
Left the screws at home that I needed to attach the mirror to the dresser I’d just brought in …
Had a table leg break and the contents crash off (and then I had to brace it from underneath WITH MY BACK as I attempted to repair it) …
And at one point ended up trapped in my own booth by all my stuff …
It isn’t done but I ran out of time, and my criteria became “get trip hazards out of the way” and “make sure nothing will fall on anyone”.
I miss having time to really dedicate to this fun vintage world, but I’m still making it work (or rather, it is still making me work). A labor of love for sure!

Sometimes I buy things that I’m not cool enough to own. Because these are fu***ng awesome and I just can’t hang. Also, they’re insanely heavy and I’m a goddamned triathlete and I can barely lift them because apparently all the swimming in the world doesn’t give me the upper body strength necessary to heft these beauties.
So yeah nothing like buying a bunch of stuff that makes you feel totally inadequate but you get it anyway hoping some of its coolness rubs off on you. So far only grease has.
I digress. These trophy molds are INCREDIBLE. Some have matching halves. Some have castings. All are awesome.
I don’t know what the business man ones are for. I got a Son of Man vibe from them; maybe they were used to celebrate the crushing burnout brought on by corporate America. “Here Sonny, your wife isn’t speaking to you, your kids don’t recognize you, your blood pressure is through the roof but my god, you killed that sales quota last month, here’s a trophy”.
I’ll probably sell these… if you’re cool enough to own them.
