We have been working on this 1950 Belair Deluxe on and off in between powder jobs and finally was able to go home this past weekend. This Belair already had some work done including a SBC 350 swap, TH400 transmission and a static drop and came in to get a complete JIMENEZ BROS CUSTOMS air ride suspension installed that utilized a Mustang II style front and a 2-link in the rear. We also rebuilt a new transmission crossmember and a new exhaust routed all the way to the back with turndowns behind the bumper. To keep the noise level down inside the car, we mounted two stealth black VIAIR 480 compressors behind the front grill of the car so the sound of the compressors is drowned out by the sound of the engine running.
Along with the air suspension, the trunk space needed to be raised slightly and reskinned with new bead rolled sheet metal. On the front of the notch cover, we incorporated a removable access panel to get to the AccuAir Suspension VU4 manifold and the Air Lift Performance rear sleeve bags.
