Meet Liam Davey — a UK‑based artist whose work blends illustration, graphic design, and bold, simplified color. Liam has red‑green color blindness, and discovering this pushed him to rethink how he uses color in his creative process.

Instead of relying on subtle shifts in hue, he builds his pieces around strong shapes, contrast, and clarity — a style that has become central to his visual identity.

🌈 Thank you for making Color Blindness Awareness Month count.

Throughout September, organizations and partners came together to raise awareness of color vision deficiency and help make color accessibility part of the conversation.

From making art and nature more accessible, to offering EnChroma glasses (or viewers) to visitors, sharing color vision simulations, and helping more people understand color blindness, every initiative and every conversation made a difference.

A special thank you to all of our partners, advocates, and communities around the world who took part in Color Blindness Awareness Month. ❤️ Here's just a few examples of the posts our amazing partners shared. Thank you all so much 🌈 till next year.

September may be over, but color accessibility shouldn’t be limited to one month.
Let’s keep working together to make the world more inclusive and accessible for people with color vision deficiency, all year round. 🌎🌈

An outdoor walk can look different for everyone. For Color Blindness Awareness Month, we’ve taken a closer look at how color vision deficiency can shape the way people experience nature—from fall foliage and wildflowers to trail markers and garden displays.

Creating welcoming outdoor spaces can be as simple as using shapes, symbols and strong contrast alongside color. A few thoughtful details can make it easier for more people to navigate, explore and enjoy the outdoors.

🧠 A recent EnChroma survey of 505 color‑blind participants revealed:

• 74% say color blindness affects how they view flowers, trees, or landscapes
• 62% feel they miss out during hikes, walks, or travel
• Nearly 1 in 3 feel disappointed visiting natural spots others find vibrant
• 85% would be more likely to visit parks or scenic sites if they could try EnChroma glasses

🌄 On the trail, this means:

• Fall foliage, wildflowers, and scenic overlooks often look flat or blend together
• Trail markers and signs relying only on color can be hard to see
• Many color blind hikers skip outdoor adventures, feeling, “What’s the point?”

👓 EnChroma lenses enhance red‑green contrast, bringing nature’s hidden colors to light—so leaves, sunsets, and trails stand out more.

Because nature is for everyone, and there’s always more than one way to take in the view. 🌈

Art should be for everyone.

Color can carry meaning, emotion, contrast and detail through a work of art. But for millions of people with color blindness, part of that visual language can be harder to access.

That doesn’t mean experiencing art differently is experiencing it incorrectly. It means museums have an opportunity to make the experience richer and more accessible for more visitors.

Color accessibility belongs in museums, galleries and cultural spaces too.
Let’s make sure everyone gets to be part of the story. 🎨

🎨 When Color Challenges Creativity 🎨

This , let’s shine a light on how color blindness can make creative pursuits more challenging.

🧠 Many people with color vision deficiency feel limited when it comes to:

• Picking out clothing that matches or designing with confidence
• Working in art, design, or fashion where colors matter most
• Expressing their personal style without second-guessing

👓 lenses help enhance color contrast, making it easier to choose colors, create, and feel confident in your unique vision.

💡 Creativity belongs to everyone. Whether you love painting, styling, or decorating, better color clarity empowers self-expression without hesitation.

This month, let’s celebrate color inclusion—and all the creativity it unlocks. 🌈 Pss grab a sweet discount on enchroma.com

🌿 Seeing Nature Differently 🌿
A walk through the gardens can look a little different for everyone. During Color Blindness Awareness Month, we’re taking a moment to recognize how color vision deficiency can affect the way people experience the outdoors—from the changing colors of fall leaves to the subtle shades found throughout the garden.

There are plenty of ways to enjoy nature, and we’re glad to share the park with everyone who comes through our gates.

🌈 Reminder! Cantigny offers rental glasses for guests. Just call us before your visit or stop by the kiosk in the Visitors Center to learn more.
