It is hard to believe we have surpassed our 1 year anniversary as of June 17th this year!🙌
1st I want to take a minute to thank each and every person who has patronized Flamingo Rd & Co. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!! 🩷🙌
To give a little background on the story that stands behind this dream, I grew up in Greensboro, and as a teenager worked for a wonderful store just less than a mile from where I grew up, called Flamingo Road Ltd. I actually worked for the Pisgah Church Rd location there at Lawndale. The funnest job in history while in high school! Where I spent every lil penny I made. 🫣🤣
Ive always wanted my own Flamingo store! And with a lil dream, many prayers and a loan approval, I made the plunge. And to this day, Im not sure how long GOD intends to let me live this dream, but Im thankful for each day I get to unlock that door. Now we arent the same, and Id never try to duplicate the store I worked at, but I love the nostalgia of bringing a great memory back to life for this generation, even in a similar name.
Now mine is more of a boutique as most can tell but, seeing kids come in and buying little things here and there takes me back. I hope one day they grow up and love and still remember this Flamingo Rd & Co.
You see, in the day of let's just order online, I want to bring back connection. I could easily go online, but thats not my passion. My passion is making a connection in a world where "connections" are fading to online ordering = complete. No one on one, face to face interactions just order processed.
My passion is helping people find gifts, putting an outfit together, or just having good conversation face to face. I hope thats what we will be remembered by, at the least. 🩷
We are planning a 1 year anniversary to personally thank our customers. Its forthcoming, so please keep a look out!

While our 1st year wasn't the easiest, we built this in this community, because we love this community and what you love, we want to bring to fruition, if possible in a real life connection.

Lastly, thank you to my husband who has supported me and this dream, and made things easier at times when I just wasn't sure. To one of the sweetest Judy's Ive ever met, you are SO appreciated! 🩷 And to my son, who shows up any time Ive needed his help, thank you!
