🧵 The Story Between the Seams
Every dress has a story, and this one is especially close to my heart.
Rachel came to me with her mom's wedding dress, originally worn in 1979, and a vision: to transform it into something she could wear for her rehearsal dinner. From the very beginning, we knew we didn't want to change what made the gown so special. We wanted to preserve its character while giving it a beautiful new chapter.
By thoughtfully shortening the gown and adding a row of buttons down the back, we honored its history while making it uniquely hers. Seeing her wear it, knowing the history behind every stitch, was a moment I'll never forget.
Somewhere between the fittings, the conversations, and bringing this heirloom back to life, we became friends.
Today, she's not only a friend, but also the creative heart behind my social media, helping me tell the stories that make Behind the Seams so meaningful.
