So if you had the chance to watch my interview with WRTV news this morning you probably heard the latest news about my next adventure happening. A few days ago I got a call asking if I would be Lead wardrobe for Lord of the dance, US tour. Before giving an answer I had to make sure I made the right choice for me, my family and my business. After weighing the pros and cons I decided that i couldn’t pass up this opportunity because it can ultimately lead to something even bigger and giving me more of a chance to grow beyond what I could imagine. And I’ve learned these things happen on the fly so I will be flying out on Valentine’s Day and will be gone for 6 weeks. I was even asked if there was anyone I trusted to come assist me on this tour and the first person I thought of was my amazing apprentice Mariyah who started with me last march and after an hour of working with her I knew she was something special and a rare talent I haven’t found in anyone I’ve ever worked with. She’s fresh out of High School but you wouldn’t know it if you saw how naturally skilled she was. So this time I get to share this experience and opportunity with such a deserving person. So WRTV news came to my shop today to interview me about my business and my experience to Wardrobe for 50 Cent tour. It will be running tomorrow morning at 5:30 AM and 6:30 AM.  it will also be on their website for those like me who do not get up that early. Lol but I can’t wait to see how they edit everything together and my super awkwardness of being in front of the camera. I’m more ofbehind the seams kind of girl. And feel free to share information about my business and spread the word. Helping small businesses like mine with just a post or referring someone to me helps more than you know.

So I was contacted by Center Grove Magazine a few weeks after I left for tour asking if they could do a story on me and this amazing opportunity I got to work with 50 cent and his team. Well here it is your February issue perfect for my 40th bday month and they even decided to use me for the cover. I’m more of a behind the scenes girl who likes to make others shine. But I guess it was my turn ✨⭐️💖 if you get the magazine at home it should be coming your way this weekend or early next week. But here it is for anyone who isn’t near the area.

Ok I’m so excited right now. Officially got Shania Twain!!!! I already know what I’m making to wear to this one and I can’t wait. I use to watch her music videos dreaming of making her stuff and of course making up our own dances with my siblings. This is another check off the bucket list and proof that never giving up on my dream is really paying off 💖🪡📐✂️🧵✨

Todays TLC wardrobe day!!!! I had the pleasure of working with them last year and even got to hang out with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony after the show which was so chill and I remember telling them I had to leave to be able to wake up and do mom s**t 🤣 and the said “yay to a good mom”. So yep I am more than a mom, more than a designer, more than a business owner, more than a wife, I am everything in more. Don’t let anyone else make you think because you work and work differently than them that you are less of a mom. I’m just out here making my dreams come true and teaching my boys how to work hard, never give up on your dreams and that the world isn’t easy but if I can do it so can they 💖

Tomorrow is a HUGE Day for Hous of Dampier (Jamie Lee Dampier Bushong) doing wardrobe for Janet Jackson. I always want to let any current or future clients know if you have been trying to get ahold of me I promise I have not forgotten you or ignored you I have been very very busy and was overwhelmed the last few weeks getting through everything that had to be done up till today. I promise to get back to everyone by end of the holiday weekend, because there is no time to rest when you’re trying to build your brand and empire. With the business growing I will finally be getting some much needed help at the shop, but remember as of now I’m a one woman show doing everything and I mean everything I can to make sure I am putting out the best possible quality designs. So please don’t be worried if you have emailed or texts I will not forget you 💖 I’m grateful for all the support and making my dreams come true 🪡🧵✂️

With prom and wedding season upon us I wanted to introduce myself and my business Hous of Dampier. I am a local designer with over 20 years of experience. You might also have seen my work doing wardrobe for many bands who perform at Ruoff like Rod Stewart, Pitbull, Jonas brothers, Earth Wind and Fire, The Chicks, Chris Brown and many more. I also have worked with The Children’s Museum and the local Ikea on the north side where my work is located throughout the entire store. I am an Alterations expert with a concentration in bridal and formalwear. Taking a dress and reconstructing the size using my background in pattern making is what sets me apart from other alteration businesses around. And it doesn’t stop there I also work on menswear, suits and even upholstery. We have you covered all under one Hous. I am located in the heart of old greenwood off of Pearl st. and Madison Ave. where I’m currently working on growing the business into a boutique and more space for teaching sewing classes. I recently won the Greenwood Pitch contest for local businesses and I am a proud member of the Greenwood pride committee.
