⚠️ Small Business Scam Awareness ⚠️

Running a small business is hard enough without people trying to scam us out of our hard-earned money.

Today someone attempted a common Cash App scam by claiming they had a “business account” that required my email address to complete payment. When I refused to give out my personal email, I received a fake text message claiming my payment was pending.

🚩 Red flags to watch for:
• They ask for your email to “verify” or “complete” a payment.
• They send fake text messages claiming your payment is pending.
• They tell you that you need to upgrade your account or pay a fee to receive money.
• They pressure you to act quickly.

Remember:
✅ Legitimate Cash App payments appear inside the Cash App, not through random text messages from unknown numbers.
✅ You should never have to pay money or provide personal information just to receive a payment.
✅ If something feels off, trust your instincts and verify everything directly through the official app.

Thankfully, I recognized the scam before anything happened, but not everyone does. I wanted to share this so other small business owners and anyone selling online can stay alert.
