I was asked to make fabric roller shades for a large project in Texas. I always have a bit of hesitation when I am unable to do my own measurements. Despite the fact that they have a very professional installer, the fact that I have never made fabric roller blinds, that ultimately had to be motorized, made me quite nervous! I told my designer for the project that I would complete 3 of the shades, ship them to Texas, and wait to make sure they fit properly before I finished the rest (16 total!!). I was on edge until I received notice that - indeed - they were perfect, and the client is thrilled!! So, I am busy working to complete the other 13 shades!! I try not to turn down a project that can be outside my normal shade / drapery style and appreciate when I am given the time to make sure I got it right! Times are changing.......motorization or cordless controls are now what clients are looking for! After 40 years in business, I like to think I am still able to adjust to changes to the industry. This is a video so give it time to start drawing up.........
