Drapery alteration for a client: 3 panels connected into one (twice), and the top got supported with buckram and French pleated. They were enormous and heavy, and difficult to work with, but the result is beautiful. She loves them!

If you ask pretty please (and if time permits!), I’m happy to do alterations. Theses 3 zipper replacement projects came my way recently. The Xmas sweater zip I put in my hand, and while I was at it, I added some seed beads. The parka zip had a run-in with a pup! 😳 But I took care of that! Good as new!

Hey! Is there a light at the end of the tunnel?? At least in CT there is - where because most of us have been abiding by recommendations, our orders have started lifting. I got my first client since March! A sweet pillow project for her HS grad, featuring his sports letter, and the town coordinates, to take to his dorm next year. I truly love these special future family heirloom projects!

Taking photos of samples I made for a class that didn’t happen..... In my closet they go! Simple gathered skirt with side seam pockets. I would certainly adapt the world’s bulkiest waistband next time. I swear, I think sometimes pattern companies WANT people to get frustrated and quit sewing. I’ll never stop bitching about that.

Used some long-ago purchased fabric, feels like a poly. Swingy though.
