I have been sewing sense I was about 15 Yrs old. I started my own business in California doing Alterations and Custom Made Dresses at the age of 20 and now I have my small business in Guymon Ok. My specialties are custom sewing, alterations, custom made dresses, Tailoring, hemming, replacing zippers, patches, any bead, sequinced, work delicate or hard work. Custom sewing converting baby blankets into pillow cases for a customer. First pillow case in the video was made from a baby blanket but by someone else. Let me just say when your customers give you items to make or recreate into something else and they say you know what to do I trust you.. that’s the best feeling in the world.. Here it is the final results for the dye dress.. after several examples and actually dying the dress it turned out great.. the color on the mesh/tulle is darkened and it looked amazing.. yes a few beads did come off but I saved each one and placed them back on.. dyeing fabric is very common especially when we can’t find the right color we want just keep in mind when dying fabric make sure to always dye everything at once or we can get different colors at times.. hope everyone likes it and hope everyone has a wonderful day and as always God be with you!!!

This dress was brought in to see if I could change the color of the mesh/tulle she ordered it letting them know she is a dark skin tone and still the mesh looked very white on her unfortunately changing the mesh/tulle wasn’t a option since all the beads and sequins were sewn one by one. So After doing a little research and finding the proper way to getting it changed we both decided it would be best to dye the mesh/tulle.. so stay tuned to see the final video with the final results and what a difference it made that she absolutely loved it.. stay tuned you’ll and have a wonderful day and God be with you..

Before and after Alterations on this beautiful dress for a wonderful little girl. The dress fit long and the straps were also long. The skirt was brought up from the waist about 4 inches up and the straps were adjusted to her length. 3 rd picture shows the length adjusted but not finished, last picture is the final results.. Fire resistant garments.. before alterations.. let me just say the safety of my customers will always come first if I have to go above a beyond to get it done correctly and them being safe in their work area than that’s what I will not.. I ended up buying the fire resistant tread and was able to do the alterations safely and correct.. one more happy and safe customer to the list.. It’s been a very busy month for me from working/doing alterations to family events and celebrations from Graduations, a wedding, quinceañeras, Mother’s Day but over all family gatherings… as you’ll probably notice I haven’t posted much this month it’s just been crazy busy and am just now trying to catch a small brake from all of the above.. it was fun and I enjoyed every single moment with my family, Im truly very happy and fortunate person to have them in my life!!! But enough of that here is a small and very short video of some scrubs that needed to be made into a skirt. When you get to custom make your own daughters dress for her “safe the date” for her quince it truly makes a mama proud and happy to be able to make something special for her… I most definitely can’t wait to get started on her quinceañera dress that I’ll be personally custom making for her.. yes her pictures are not in color she wants her color theme to remain on the low for now but eventually I’ll be able to post them in color.. it’s truly a blessing and something I’ve been waiting for a while to do, am really excited and looking forward to this special moment with my daughter.. blessings and God be with you…,

This right here is the reason why I love to sew.. this is what I was raised to all my life from my oldest sister to the youngest one. this lady right here is my mama.. this is her when she was younger sewing her heart away, she’s been a seamstress for over 50+ years from being her own boss, having her own employees and working with a lot of different companies and doing all kinds of works. Because of all of this I stand where I am today and i know I wouldn’t be here without her.. she’s on vacation right now visiting the family and it never fails for her to come to me so I can do her alterations.. I fixed her jeans for the pioneer weekend and I still have 2 more dresses to fix for her for an upcoming event.. it will always be a pleasure for me to get to do her alterations and to see her happy with them.. this post is for her and since Mother’s Day is just around the corner this is my way of telling her Happy early Mother’s Day you are the reason why I am here today doing what I love to do.. love you mom!! Another quick video this one is for hemming pants with the original hemming.. when I say with the original thread I literally mean it.. the thread was carefully unsewed to reuse as the original thread. I see and hear alot of people in videos or pictures of other people that do this type of work that always say but you kept the bottom part but not the original thread so it still takes away from the original hemming so I tried my best to keep everything as it was but like I said its a little more time consuming but it all worked out.. another happy customer also adapting to new things will always be something I have to do all the time. Their will always be new looks, new fabrics, new teachnics, new everything so it’s always nice to try new things, just another thing to add to my list that I can do.. 😊.. blessings and God be with you..

Before and after Alterations prom dress. “2026”. The dress had corset in the back which was removed because the dress fit her exactly to her without the corset. So I went ahead and unsewed the corset and added a zipper. I also adjusted the length on the straps and moved them away from the zipper and sewed back the lace on them.. I also did the hemming on the dress.. they absolutely loved it and were very thankful. Hope you’ll like it. Blessings and God be with you.
