This was a collection of (mostly) Phillies giveaways. Opening day tshirts, a Hawaiian shirt, a few others from his collection. He wasn’t wearing them anymore and they would have just stayed in a box.

First (shareable) piece of my summer work complete!
This is a BIG pillow, king size, made from baseball hats and denim. It was a tough one to work on, a lot of stiff inflexible fabric. I usually work with a couple hats mixed into a quilt. This was another level….
In the end, it came together really well. A collection of experiences that were otherwise in a box.

Getting back to it…..
I took most all of June off as I fished the school year and then had a medical procedure.
I’m easing back in with a pillow project. There’s about 25 hat brims there that I’ve been ripping apart to use in the logos in the pillow.
My daughter is also working on a scrappy stars quilt in the background.

I started this “quilting for customers” journey 10 years ago. Thanks FB memories for reminding me.
This is the pile right after the first customer meeting I had and the finished queen size quilt (done in September). My timelines have gotten a lot better to finish a project. They’ve gotten longer on the waitlist side as I get so many requests now.
I’ve met so many wonderful people. Made so many beautiful memories for people. A couple weeks ago my husband asked how many and I don’t have an exact number but I looked up my invoice app to see what number I’m on (178) and I didn’t start using that until I was a few years in. So it’s in the hundreds. WOW!
Thanks to all of my previous clients for trusting me with your precious memories, for the referrals to your friends, and your, often, repeat business.

The last of this seasons graduation quilts has been completed and delivered! I knew this kiddo when he was in elementary school and ran an “art club” during recess. He was clearly a creative soul and it’s no surprise he is following that path in college.

Another graduation quilt complete!
I had a connection to this one. I used to run an “art club” during lunch recess at our elementary school. Kids could draw, color, read….
I even taught hand sewing and basic embroidery. The kids loved it. This quilt was for one of those kiddos now all grown up!
What a pleasure to make something for such a creative kid! Keep following your inspiration!

Both quilts together. Graduation for a set of twins.
I did a graduation quilt for their older sister a few years back and a memory quilt using all their baby/toddler/young kids clothes before that.

Twins, but individual personalities and similar but
different styles.
