Hagerstown Thrift Store A not-for-profit Thrift Store selling gently used clothing and household items. If you need it, we might have it! Toys, decorations, luggage, jewelry, etc.

Stop in to see everything available. We are a donation based thrift store, meaning everything we have to sell is from donations made to us. We sort through everything and put out the stuff that is sellable. If donating furniture or big ticket items we ask that you call ahead to make sure we can take it and that we are here when you drop it off. Items we do not accept: tires, mattresses or televisions. Any questions please call.

We are still in need of several items to help complete our space. Bookcases for adult and children’s books, as well as shelves for DVDs and CDs, would make an enormous difference in keeping our materials organized and accessible. We are also hoping to add a few comfortable chairs so our ladies have a place to rest during their busy days.

If anyone in our wonderful community has any of these items they would be willing to donate, we would be deeply grateful.

The Thrift Store will NOT be able to open until Friday, October 16th after all. Several supplies and furnishings are still en route, and this additional time will allow our hardworking and amazing employees and volunteers to finish preparing the new location with the care and attention it deserves. We want the store to be fully ready and beautifully arranged for its introduction to the public, and we appreciate everyone’s patience and support as we make these final preparations.

The moment you have all been waiting for!
Again, please read this message in its entirety.
We are thrilled to share that the store will reopen on Monday, October 12th — and we cannot thank our wonderful community enough for your patience, support, and enthusiasm over these past two months. We’ve missed you, and we’re excited to welcome you back.

We will be reopening with one adjustment to our weekly hours:
Wednesdays: 2:00–7:00 PM
All other hours remain the same:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 10:00–4:00
Saturday: 10:00–2:00

As we ease back into operations, we kindly ask that you stagger your donations during the first week or two. We know you’ve been saving so many wonderful items, and we truly appreciate it. If you’re able to hold donations for just a few extra days, it will help us tremendously as we work to process everything safely and efficiently.

All donations should be brought to the back door, located in the alley behind the store (between Plum and Perry Streets). We do not yet have donation boxes available, which is another reason staggering donations will help us manage the flow. We will also no longer be able to leave items outside overnight, so bringing them during store hours is greatly appreciated.

As one thoughtful customer recently reminded everyone, please bring clean, unbroken, ready‑to‑sell items. Your care and consideration make an enormous difference and help us keep the store running smoothly for the entire community.

Thank you for your continued support, generosity, and kindness. We are grateful for each of you and look forward to seeing you very soon.

Kohls in Richmond said they recycle their hangers. Could anyone that has access to other Kohls locations reach out and ask if they have plastic hangers available?
