Last night, Plum Bottom had the honor of participating in Hope on the Runway at the beautiful and historic King Mansion in Harrisburg.
Four local boutiques—including Three Little Birds, The Plum, Unveiled Bridal & Formal, Maggie Adams, and Plum Bottom—brought amazing fashions to the runway. But those fashions would be nothing without the beautiful women who wore them.
Every model was a breast cancer survivor or pre-vivor, and the evening was about so much more than fashion. It was inspiring to hear their stories of hope, courage and resilience in the face of a cancer diagnosis. These women are powerful reminders of how precious life is and how we should each learn to truly live each day.
A special thank you to Sue Engels, whose vision brought this beautiful evening to life. Sue created Hope on the Runway in honor of her mother, who passed away from breast cancer on Sue’s birthday. Her desire to bring women together to celebrate strength, hope and resilience created something truly special, and we were so grateful to be included.
And for me, the evening was even more meaningful because my Aunt Karen was one of the incredible women who walked the runway. She is an inspiration to me every day—facing life with grace, strength and, most importantly, a wonderful sense of humor. Watching her walk that runway was a moment I will never forget. ❤️

There was so much beauty in that room—not just in the clothes, but in the women wearing them and the stories they carried with them.
Hope. Strength. Resilience. And a reminder to live each day. 💕
