Did you know that research shows many children who experience SA are under the age of 12, with a significant number of victims being under 10 years old? That’s why body safety education can’t wait until they’re older.
Teaching our children the correct names for their body parts and helping them understand that their bodies are private isn’t “too much” or “too early”..it’s protection. It gives children the language to communicate clearly, helps reduce shame around their bodies, and equips them to tell a trusted adult if something inappropriate happens.
As a Christian Mama myself , I also teach my daughter that her body belongs to God and should be treated with dignity, respect, and care.Protecting our children starts with honest, age-appropriate conversations.
So yes, I made up this silly song . We sing it when we review her body parts on our body chart and when she’s taking a bath .
