Happy Birthday to the man who keeps this family going and somehow manages to keep the farm from completely falling apart... even with the rest of us constantly adding to the chaos. ❤️

Grant, there isn't a day that goes by that we don't realize just how much we depend on you. You're the steady one, the hardworking one, and the one who always makes sure we're taken care of—even if your roosters occasionally seem to rank just a little higher on your priority list. 😂

You have a very special talent for convincing yourself that you "needed" another rooster. At this point, those roosters eat better and have more comfortable lives than most people do.😂 If loving chickens paid the bills, we'd be millionaires.

Thank you for loving us so well, working as hard as you do, and putting up with all the crazy challenges that come with our way of life. We wouldn't trade you for all the chickens in Georgia... although I'm pretty sure you'd at least try to negotiate that deal.🤣

Thank you for every sacrifice no one sees, every fence you've mended, every animal you've cared for, and every ounce of love you've poured into our family. We love you more than words could ever say, and we pray this next year is filled with God's richest blessings.... and maybe just one more rooster. (Actually... let's not get carried away.) 🐓🎉❤️

Fifteen years ago today, God answered prayers that had been whispered through tears, carried in hope, and trusted to His perfect timing.

Now here we are, fifteen years later, watching that little boy become an incredible young man.

Grantlee,

You've never met a stranger—whether they walk on two legs or four. You still have a gift with animals that amazes us, a soft heart for every creature God places in your path, and a love for this farm that runs as deep as your daddy's. You work hard, help before you're asked, and somehow always know when someone just needs a little kindness.

But what makes us the proudest has nothing to do with the farm.

It's the way you love Jesus without hesitation. The way your faith isn't just something you talk about—it's something you live. In a world that constantly tells young people to blend in, you aren't afraid to stand out for what matters most!

You're quick to pray, always willing to help others, slow to anger, and generous with your kindness. You work hard, love your family deeply, and never leave us wondering how you feel because you always say, "I love you."

This past year we've watched your faith become even more your own. We've seen your character deepen, your compassion grow, and your confidence come from knowing who you are in Christ. You've grown so much. Not just in height 🤣either. You've become a young man who loves deeply, serves willingly, and points others toward Christ.

We love you beyond measure, and are so proud of who you are!

Happy Birthday, Grantlee! ❤️

Some of you have prayed with our family through hard seasons before, and today I'm asking you to do it again.

My sweet Grandmommy, Vera, has been diagnosed with breast cancer. If you know her, you know her faith has always been unwavering. She's the kind of woman who has spent a lifetime praying for others, and now it's our turn to surround her in prayer.

Will you join Vera's Prayer Warriors? Please pray for peace instead of fear, strength for the days ahead, wisdom for her doctors, and complete healing according to God's perfect will.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for standing with our family. We know the Great Physician is already at work. 💗🙏

Y'all, if I'm being honest, I'm struggling.

We live in a world full of highlight reels. Every scroll shows smiling faces, big accomplishments, and picture perfect moments. But behind those photos are real people carrying real burdens. The truth is, every one of us struggles with something. Some battles are visible, while others are quietly carried behind a forced smile.

This week has been hard for me physically, and I found myself growing impatient—impatient with my own limitations and impatient with God's timing. And as I sat with those feelings, I realized I'm probably not the only one. Maybe you're struggling too. Maybe you're waiting on answers, carrying a burden no one knows about, fighting exhaustion, grief, fear, or disappointment.

The beautiful thing about faith is that it doesn't require us to pretend we're okay. God already knows our hearts. He sees the tears we don't share, the prayers we whisper, and the battles we fight when no one else is looking.

So today, instead of pretending everything is perfect, I'm choosing to trust the One who is. I'm choosing to believe that God's timing is still good, His plans are still greater than mine, and His strength is enough for all of us when our own strength runs out!🙌🏻

If you're struggling today, know this...You are not alone. Keep holding on. God hasn't forgotten you!🩷

The rumble of thunder rolling across the pasture, the wind rushing through the trees, and the rain drumming against the tin roof of the barn all remind me of something powerful—GOD.

We stand in awe of a storm because we can hear and feel its strength. Yet the God who created every storm is even greater. His power is mighty, but so is His mercy. 🙌🏻

If you've never trusted Jesus as your Savior, today is the day. The same God who commands the wind and rain is calling you to Himself. Don't wait for another storm. Run to the One who calms them.

If you'd like to know more about following Jesus, I'd be honored to talk with you.

The farm store will be closed the rest of this week and next as I take some time away to rest and recover. During this time, I won't be accepting customer orders or opening the farm for visitors.

Thank you all for your understanding, support, and patience. I look forward to being back soon!

As I look out across the farm tonight, it's easy to see the beauty of the sunset. The fields are quiet. The animals are settling in. The work of the day is done. (Thankful for a husband who carries the load when I'm unable!)

But maybe your heart isn't as peaceful as this view...

Maybe you're carrying burdens no one else can see. Maybe you're tired from trying to do life on your own. Maybe you've been running from God, or maybe you've simply drifted farther from Him than you ever intended.

The beautiful thing about Jesus is that He doesn't wait for us to have it all together. He meets us right where we are. He offers forgiveness, peace, hope, and a relationship that changes everything. 🙌🏻

So tonight, as the sun sets on another day, don't let it set on an opportunity to say yes to Him!

If you don't know Jesus as your Savior, or if you need to come back to Him, I'd love to pray with you. Don't leave carrying what Jesus died to take from you.

The invitation is simple: come to Him.

After an incredible week of VBS, I had my clothes laid out and was excited to gather with my church family one more time. My heart was ready for worship. I was looking forward to hearing more stories from the week, seeing all the children, and celebrating what God had done!

But my body wasn't on the same page as my heart.

Instead of sitting in a pew surrounded by VBS songs and children's laughter, I've spent the day in bed. I've got a hard decision ahead and if I'm being honest, this wasn't how I imagined ending such a wonderful week.

Yet even here, the Lord is reminding me that our faith was never meant to rest in our plans.

So often we think God's goodness is found in the things we look forward to—the events we attend, the moments we anticipate, the paths we've mapped out for ourselves. But some of the sweetest reminders of His faithfulness come when those plans fall apart and we discover that Jesus is still right there.

The same Savior being worshipped in church this morning is here in this quiet room. The same Jesus who was moving through a week full of excited children and joyfully tired volunteers is still moving when the day takes an unexpected turn.

Life doesn't always go according to our plans. Bodies fail us. Doors close. Circumstances change. Hard decisions arrive uninvited.

But Jesus remains! 🙌🏻

He is still good when we are disappointed. He is still faithful when we are uncertain. He is still holding us when we don't understand what comes next.

Today may not have gone as I planned, but I'm thankful that my hope has never depended on my plans. It depends on a Savior who never changes!!!

If you don't know Jesus, I want you to know that He loves you. He came here for you, died for you, and offers forgiveness, hope, and eternal life to all who trust in Him. No matter what you've done or where you've been, His arms are open.

And if you need someone to pray with you, answer questions, or talk about what it means to follow Jesus, please reach out to me. Nothing would bring me more joy than pointing you to the One who has carried me through every season. ❤️✝️
