Vulnerable post - but maybe one of the greatest lesson I can teach my children isn’t how to win someone’s love or approval. It’s that their worth has never depended on who chooses them. I want them to know they are valuable because of who they are.
I want them to grow up confident enough to walk away from relationships where they have to beg for attention, acceptance or affection.
The people who truly love you won’t make you question your place in their lives. My prayer is that my kids always see themselves through the eyes of the people who cherish them and not through the absence of those who don’t.
Don’t chase people who refuse to see your light. Protect your peace, know your worth and leave room for the ones who celebrate you.
