You’re not difficult. You just stopped accepting “because I said so” as a personality trait.

You’re not rebellious — you’re self-directed.

Some of us grew up being labeled “too much” simply because we asked questions.

Why?
Who decided that?
Does this actually make sense?
Do I even want this?

And somewhere along the way, curiosity got translated into “attitude.”
Cute.

Because questioning things does not automatically make you rebellious.

Sometimes it means you're paying attention.

Sometimes it means you're learning how to hear your own voice underneath everyone else's opinions.

Not everyone who walks off the well-worn path is lost. Some people just finally realized they never picked the path to begin with.

Save this if you're done confusing obedience with personality 🌙

Herbs absolutely have friend groups... and these two understood the assignment. 🌿

One question beginners don't ask enough is:

"Why are these herbs together?"

They assume someone just threw a handful of plants into a blend and hoped for the best.

Good formulations are much more intentional than that.

Take plantain and calendula.

Plantain has traditionally been appreciated for supporting healthy tissue and is often discussed for its soothing, "drawing" nature.

Calendula has a long history of supporting tissue wellness and healthy skin.

Separate? Wonderful.

Together? They complement one another beautifully.

Think of them like two people renovating a house.

One organizes the project.

The other knows how to actually fix things.

Different strengths.

Shared purpose.

That's how herbalists often think about formulas.

Not as collections of random herbs—but as conversations between plants.

Once you start asking why these herbs belong together, reading herbal formulas becomes a whole lot more interesting.

Tea and baths are not in competition. They just clock in for different shifts. 🛁☕

I hear some version of this question all the time.

"Should I drink the tea or use the bath?"

My answer? Yes.

Different forms of herbal support shine in different moments because they're designed for different experiences.

Tea becomes part of your day.

You sip it while answering emails.

Reading a book.

Ignoring the laundry that's been judging you since Tuesday.

A bath asks something different.

It asks you to pause.

To stay still for twenty minutes.

To let "doing" take a back seat for a minute.

That's why I don't think of baths as luxury anymore.

Luxury sounds optional.

Ritual sounds intentional.

Some days you need support you can carry around in a mug.

Some days you need support you can literally sit in.

Neither one is more "correct."

They're simply different tools in the same toolbox.

That's exactly why I created our beloved bath tea line. A truly herbal tea specific for the bath tub. Not the mug.

Not because everyone needs baths.

Because some people crave support that surrounds them instead of something they sip.

Save this for later 🛁 Make sure you check out our selection of bath teas on our website! Are you reaching for a mug or a bath after a long day?

Not every herb is trying to kick your body into high gear... and that's actually a good thing. 🌹

We live in a world that loves dramatic results.

Energy drinks.

Five-day resets.

"Feel this immediately!"

So it's easy to assume every helpful herb should make you feel something big.

Rose hips politely disagree.

Rose hips are considered a nutritive herb. That's herbal-speak for a plant traditionally valued because it provides nourishment rather than pushing the body in a particular direction.

Think about the difference between a friend who hypes you up before a concert and the friend who quietly brings you soup when you've had a rough week.

Both are supportive.

One is stimulating.

One is nourishing.

Herbalists use both kinds of plants—they just ask different questions first.

Do I need encouragement?

Or do I need replenishment?

That shift in thinking changes everything.

Instead of asking, "What's the strongest herb?"

You begin asking, "What kind of support actually makes sense today?"

That's one of the biggest mindset shifts in herbalism.

The loudest solution isn't always the best solution.

Save this for your herbal notebook 🌹 Which do you naturally reach for more—energizing support or nourishing support?

Calendula gets all the skincare attention... but that's only half the story. 🌼

If you've spent any time around herbalists, you've probably heard someone rave about calendula salves, oils, or creams.

And they're wonderful.

Here is the part that surprises a lot of beginners:
Herbalists don't usually separate the body into neat little departments.

Skin isn't just skin.

It's connected to the rest of you.

That's why conversations about calendula often start before anyone reaches for a topical product.

Calendula has traditionally been used as what's called a vulnerary herb. Fancy word. Simple idea.

A vulnerary herb is traditionally used to support healthy tissue. Think of it as a plant herbalists have long appreciated when caring for the body's natural repair processes.

So why make an infused oil if the conversation starts somewhere deeper?

Because herbalists love layers of support.

Imagine you've got a houseplant that's looking rough. You could wipe the dust off the leaves, but you'd probably also check the soil, water, and sunlight.

Neither approach is wrong—they simply do different jobs.

That's how I think about herbs.

Internal support and topical support aren't competing. They're teammates.

Calendula has earned its reputation because it plays well in both spaces.

And honestly? That's one of my favorite things about herbalism.

Plants rarely have just one talent. We usually give them one headline and ignore the rest of the résumé.

Save this for your herbal notebook 🌼 Have you ever used calendula, or has it been sitting on your "I should learn about that someday" list?

Boundaries and chaos have very different energy, babe.
Freedom isn’t reckless when it’s rooted in self-respect.
Some people hear freedom and immediately picture impulsive decisions and setting your life on fire for character development.
We are not doing that.
Freedom isn't “doing whatever I want no matter what.”
Freedom is understanding yourself enough to stop betraying yourself.
It's choosing rest without guilt.
It's saying no without writing a twelve-page apology letter.
It's knowing where your limits are and respecting them.
Because self-respect isn't a cage.
It's the thing holding the door open.
Save this for the recovering people-pleasers in the back 🌙

You know when you've been holding everything together for so long...
that you suddenly realize you're exhausted instead of accomplished?

Yeah. That.

Full moons tend to bring awareness. Think flashlight energy. Not creating problems out of nowhere — just making it harder to ignore what's already there.

Capricorn energy focuses on responsibility, structure, long-term goals, discipline, and the pressure we put on ourselves to “keep it together.”

This energy tends to ask: "Okay…but is this sustainable?"

This can look like:
• feeling emotionally tired from carrying too much
• realizing your responsibilities have quietly become your entire personality
• questioning whether productivity has replaced actual living
• wanting stronger boundaries
• noticing where you're over-functioning for everyone else

You may catch yourself saying: "I can't keep doing all of this like this."

Not in a dramatic crash-out way. More in a:

"Oh. I think I've hit my limit." kind of way.

Pay attention to what feels heavy versus what feels meaningful. Capricorn energy can sometimes convince people that rest has to be earned. It doesn't.

Let yourself reassess what actually deserves your energy instead of automatically carrying everything because you're capable.

Awareness first. Adjustment second.

To make a ritual of this energy try some (or all) of the following:

Clean one small space you've been avoiding.
Take a long shower.
Put your phone down early.
Cross one unnecessary thing off your to-do list.

No optimization required.

Moonwither feels fitting here — soft, grounding, reflective energy for when life has felt emotionally and mentally heavy. Enjoy a cup while you journal what you are going to stop putting on your to do list that has no business being there.

You do not have to prove your worth through exhaustion.

Some things are allowed to be set down.

The survival version of you kept you alive. The current version gets to speak.
Silencing yourself was survival. Speaking now is power.

You were not born second-guessing yourself.

A lot of us learned it. Keep the peace. Don't be difficult. Don't be too much. Don't take up space.

Cute.

Helpful for survival maybe. Absolute garbage for actually living.

The beautiful thing is you don't have to stay in survival mode forever.

You get to take up space now. You get to have opinions now. You get to say no now.
You get to become louder in the places that matter. You also don't have to apologize for it.

Save this if you're done apologizing for existing 🌙

Suddenly home sounds better than plans.
And honestly? Fair.

Cancer season shifts attention toward comfort, home, connection, and emotional safety. Not hiding. Not becoming a hermit. Just noticing what feels nourishing.

What you may notice:
• craving cozy things
• wanting slower mornings
• reconnecting with people
• protecting your energy more

Stop forcing yourself to say yes because you feel like you should.
Pay attention to where you actually feel full.

Enjoy the little moments:
Fresh sheets.
Favorite tea.
Phone on silent for twenty minutes.

When you want to take a moment to embrace that energy? Try it with a cup of Witch, Please. Soak in the very cozy comfort energy.

Not everything needs to be louder to be meaningful.
