Tribal Edge Clothing is a company that was established in 2009 by a man who was born and raised in the South Pacific, Fili Tualaulelei. Each of the designs of Tribal Edge Clothing are entirely original, free-handed art and are designed to adequately express and uphold the tattoo art of Polynesia to each having meaning and a story. “One day my (at the time) nine-year-old daughter and I were drawing together and realized my design looked like a tattoo. Professional printers wanted to alter the design and mass produce it, but with no funds for a silk screening press, I self taught and made one from simple materials at home. Tribal Edge was born; freehanded Polynesian tattoo art, made in Hawaii. Almost overnight my shirts were showing up on TV, the mainland and around the world.”

We’re no longer set up in hotel shops or local markets every week in Hawaii.

Now we’re building online, traveling to events and festivals on the mainland, and continuing to create designs that represent Polynesian culture and island roots wherever we go.
