Rare early 1900’s “end-of-day” celluloid tramp art frame

Very unique and one-of-a-kind folk art picture frame created from celluloid scraps of different colors and patterns, collected by a factory worker at the turn of the century and fashioned into a beautiful and unique frame. Quite heavy.

Total frame size is 10” x 12” and the photo mount area is 5” x 3” with a vertical hang mount. 1.25” depth.

I’ve never seen anything quite like this- generally tramp art frames are made of wood scraps, so this is truly unique and quite wonderful!
