Featured in NJ Monthly, 201 Mag, The Montclair Girl, Bergen Mama, Bergen Mom's Network & BC the Mag I discovered that hand embroidery gave me an outlet to be creative, reduced my anxiety and helped me get through this difficult stage of my life. After having my daughter by IVF, I decided to turn my passion into a business and started Embroidery Babes in 2022. Embroidery Babes has grown to offer specialty clothing and accessories as well as embroidery events, workshops and parties in the NJ/NY area.

I am passionate about sharing my love for hand embroidery through my workshops and provide a creative and fun experience. I love connecting with my customers whether it be through social media or in-person. Embroidery Babes is active in the community, always participating in local events and fundraisers. When I’m not working, I’m running after my two children! My goal is to share my infertility story to show how you can turn your struggles into something beautiful. One of my favorite parts of building this community is the incredible women I've gotten to know along the way!

I first connected with Jane Alzate, owner of Charcuterie boards, Grazing tables & Catering through Instagram and knew I wanted her to be part of our 4th Anniversary Stitch & Mingle back in August.

And I'm so glad I reached out! The food was delicious, the presentation was beautiful, and Jane's professionalism and attention to detail made working with her such a great experience.

I'm so happy to be partnering with her again for our sold-out Vent & Venture Social Club networking brunch in November!

Jane also owns Signature Productions by Jane, offering everything from charcuterie boards and grazing tables to event planning, décor, and rentals.

With the holidays coming up, I hope you'll keep Jane in mind for your celebrations. I've seen firsthand how much heart she puts into her work, and I'd love for more people to experience it.

There are so many amazing women building businesses right here in our community.

Our first sold out Vent & Venture meetup was full of unfiltered conversations, celebrating wins, venting about the messy parts of business, and sharing advice with women who get it!

Last night, we headed to Edison, NJ to stitch with the ladies of Adam Glinn

Everyone learned beginner hand embroidery techniques and left with a pouch they designed and stitched themselves!

A little creativity, easy conversation, and that “I made this!” feeling make for such a fun way to bring your community together. Thank you for having us!

Last month, I had the pleasure of bringing Embroidery Babes to The Assemble Atelier at the Accessories Council in NYC. What a wonderful morning getting to share something I love with such an amazing group of women!

Everyone got their own kit and picked a tote, makeup case, or trucker cap. Then I showed them how to make it theirs.

Did anyone expect to be this into embroidery by 10am? Probably not.

One of my favorite parts of leading workshops is watching everyone get comfortable with something new. Before long, the conversations were flowing, everyone was getting creative, and we were having a great time!

By the end of the morning, we had twenty completely different creations. No two alike.

I especially loved seeing everyone’s personalities come through in what they made. That’s one of the things I enjoy most about embroidery. You can give everyone the same materials, and they’ll each create something that’s uniquely theirs.

Thank you to Assemble for trusting me with your event and bringing together such a wonderful group of women. It meant so much to be part of it.

We spend so much time cheering our kids on, but sometimes we forget that they’re watching us chase our dreams, too.

While looking through the photos from last week’s Threaded Together event, I came across this one of my son recording me as I spoke, and it stopped me in my tracks.

There he was, capturing his mom sharing a story about pregnancy loss and infertility that was once too painful to talk about.

It reminded me that our kids are watching us take risks, build something from nothing, and turn difficult experiences into something meaningful.

I don’t know how much he understands about what it took to get here, but I hope he’s proud. And I hope he knows he can build something he believes in, too. ❤️

Because of this amazing community, we were able to donate $2,000 to Griffin Cares Foundation in honor of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month.

Pamela and her husband, Paul, created the foundation in memory of their son, Griffin. Through free support groups, peer mentoring and resources, they help families navigate pregnancy and infant loss with people who understand. I’m so grateful to support the work they put their hearts into.

At our Threaded Together event this past Thursday, we also made heart wands for the foundation's Remembrance Day event, which we attended that Saturday. Being together again, honoring babies who are so loved and so deeply missed, meant so much.

And having my rainbow baby, Cora, beside me at both events? That’s the part that really gets me. After my own loss and infertility journey, having her there supporting me and this cause felt incredibly special. I’ll never take those moments for granted.
