I still remember vividly when I decided to create Guccella back in 2016 and how nervous I was. I never expected it to immediately receive the attention that it did.
That year was filled with so much excitement, nerves, and learning everything as I went — taking chances by saying yes to requests and thankfully being able to fulfill them while expanding my creativity and skills along the way.
I’m also incredibly thankful to the talented ladies who welcomed me, collaborated with me, and shared part of that creative journey alongside me.
I started by making 2–3 inch bows, which back then were considered “too big” by some… and now, fast forward to today, I’m creating bows as large as 12 inches lol.
But during that first year, I created so many different styles and pieces — bows of all types and sizes, fascinators, hats, bow ties, bandanas, tutus, dresses, jumpsuits, vests, button-up shirts, Christmas outfits, necklaces… and even handbags.
Never in my life did I think I would be able to create some of those things, let alone have people trust and support my work the way they did.
Back in 2016, dressing up pets was nothing like it is today. If pets wore accessories, it was usually a simple cotton bandana or a small bow. So I’m truly thankful to have been part of a creative community that helped bring more fashion and self-expression into the pet world.
And little did I know… this was only the beginning.
