We are a family-owned alpaca farm and mill that specializes in small-scale artisan textile manufacturing.

We utilize technology to craft unique scarves which are made from 100% alpaca fiber and feature treasures of Montana's wild places. Our products are uniquely designed and knitted in Montana using high-end state-of-the-art knitting technology. We use 100% alpaca fiber to create luxuriously soft scarves, that can be admired by all. Our exclusive designs offer that special Montana memory, capturing t

he natural beauty our state has to offer. Alpaca fiber is a natural renewable resource that possesses special properties, such as smoother fiber scale structure, lack of lanolin and a hollow shaft. These attributes provide a softer feel and offer excellent insulation abilities, making it an ideal fiber for exquisite garments that make the wearer feel surrounded by comfort and warmth. Shout Out to Rach-Al-Paca Fiber Processing

This month marks another milestone we’ve been working toward for years: our first batch of yarn spun from our own herd has arrived! The team Rach-Al-Paca Fiber Processing in Hastings, Minnesota transformed our locally sourced alpaca fleeces—including our very first Sapphire Alpaca Suri fiber—into beautifully balanced, small‑batch yarn. It’s a special moment to hold yarn that began right here on our farm and was finished by skilled hands in the Midwest. We’re excited to begin working with it and to share what comes next.

Our Glove Machine Has Arrived

After months of waiting, our new glove‑knitting machine has finally arrived from the factory overseas. This machine is specifically designed to knit gloves, from fingerless to mittens and everything in between. Once it’s powered up, we’ll begin testing, tuning, and learning its rhythm, as we start developing our first run of knitted gloves. This is a completely new process for us to learn, and we love to share with you how we navigate this new task.

We welcomed our first cria of the season early this morning — a healthy little fawn boy who arrived with the sunrise. He’s already steady on his feet and curious about the world.
More little ones are due over the next couple of weeks, and the pasture is about to get lively.
Spring on the farm never loses its magic.

June 1st was shearing day here in the Helena Valley — one of the most important days of our year.
The alpacas were calm, the weather cooperated, and the fleeces came off beautifully. This short video captures a little of the rhythm, the care, and the gratitude that goes into raising fiber animals in Montana.

Fleece becomes yarn, yarn becomes something useful and beautiful, and every step connects us to the land and the people who support this work.

Sneak Peek - New Designs

Our locally sourced alpaca fiber has come full circle — grown here in Montana, spun in the United States, and now returning to our studio as yarn ready to be transformed into new scarf and hat designs. As we adjust our programming to honor the unique qualities of this beautiful fiber, we find ourselves on the cusp of a milestone we’ve been working toward since the beginning: the ability to apply for the Grown in Montana designation. Soon, our work will carry both badges — Made in Montana and Grown in Montana — a pairing that reflects not just where our products come from, but who we are becoming.
