Finally pulled the trigger on Cult of the Lamb today. Played this one about a year ago via borrowing it from my local library, and remembered having a good time with it. I've been eyeballing it for a while but there was always something ahead of it on my wishlist.

I'm a huge fan of anything with roguelite elements, so when I saw that it was down to $15 at my local Walmart for a physical copy, I couldn't say no.

Salvation Army and Goodwill were both kind to me today. Picked up a working DVD/VCR at both places, as well as the VHS and games from SA, just under $25 all in.

Just rolled credits on Breath of the Wild!

What can I say? I was absolutely wrong about this game the first time I played it 6 years ago. It didn't click for me at all, but I kept it on the shelf because I thought my kids might want to play it in the future and I knew it certainly wasn't getting any cheaper.

I'm not exactly sure why I started it again a couple months ago, but I'm glad I did. This game is amazing. It hits every note just right, it's hard but fair, and it gives you a genuine sense of accomplishment when you complete the big story beats. The world is beautiful and immersive as hell.

I guess I have to buy TotK now, huh?

I love that the Roku app allows you to stream audio through your phone rather than through the video output device.

My wife works from home occasionally, so this makes it a lot easier for me to not bother her if I'm home at the same time watching my dumb TV shows 😆
