Fresh off the machines. 🧵🤎

I’ve been wanting to sew this fabric up for a while and not having the time for a bit actually ended up working out in my favor. I had a different top and pants pattern picked initially, but I found these during my wait and they’re good. Can’t wait to wear this out.

Out in the wild on a spontaneous trip to LA. Shout out to the nice Dodgers fan who let me use one of her extra mini fans, because it was hotter than Vegas. So glad I wore my airy linen dress I made this summer. P.S. Dodgers fans you can’t come at me on this post for wearing a Braves hat after what happened. 😉

Chicks of ‘06. I’m grateful for so many friends who welcomed me as a new kid who moved from across town part way through my freshman year. Not to be all dramatic but I honestly remember dreading lunch when I first moved there because I had no one to sit with and I’m not naturally outgoing. It didn’t take long though for kids to welcome me in and also question how I got into the dance class with the seniors as a freshman. 😆 No matter how often we see each other, you all will always mean so much to me. 🐊

Oh and my mom was right when she would tease me about the baseball boys. I would have to walk past the field during after school practice to my pick up spot as a freshman. We wouldn’t meet until college, but yeah I ended up marrying one of them. 💚💙

Also I want to send my love and condolences to everyone mourning the loss of Sam King. We had lots of mutual friends from GV to PV and he was the guy everyone loved. 🤍

This night was everything. Oh and I made my top and battled the wind for these photos. Did I have to safety pin the neck on last minute? Yes, of course I did because I’m a mom of 4 who is also in her busy season of dance costume making and I ran out of time to sew the hook and eyes on. Just scroll through to the good stuff though. 😆 We had great seats at first, but thanks to our cousin got upgraded to even better floor seats and I’m pretty sure CB looked at me. 😘

The birthday boy. He is all good vibes and just the sweetest, kindest, coolest kid. We love cheering him on at the field and on the ice. I’m so grateful to have such an incredible son born on 9/11 to remind us of the good and to bring so much joy to everyone he’s around. Happy birthday, we love you! 🎈

Custom dance sets I made my girls for auditions at Nationals this Summer. Like usual I let them pick fabric from my stash and they picked the styles too. I love that they could feel confident going into auditions knowing no one else would be wearing the same thing. Yes, that is a conversation they have with each other of what audition outfits might stand out best and others won’t be wearing. So this way there was no worry. 😆 Oh and Nationals week with 3 dancers in 3 different age divisions is really busy for me (iykyk), so I only barely snapped these pics.

I made and shared this wrap skirt last summer and it’s still going strong as a perfect lightweight summer essential. Paired it in Mexico with a ribbed tank from Amazon. If you read my last post you know how I am about what I buy fast fashion, but I actually own two of these tanks (white and grey). They’re 95/5 ribbed cotton spandex, nice weight and actually good. I added it to my link if you wanna try it. As usual there’s no guarantee you’ll like it, but I’d say this one is actually a higher chance you will than the last top. 😆 Swipe for some more ways I’ve worn them.
