To the Black women in our cabi community and those they love, the pain you feel right now is immeasurable. We find ourselves reeling—reeling with an overload of complex emotions leading to a sense of helplessness for how we can be an organization that stands against racial injustice in our country in a way that actually makes a difference. As we’re a company focused on loving women well, and women in our community are hurting, it cannot be a time of hanging back, being silent, and leaving the hard work to be done to others. It cannot be a time for hollow words. This is a time for action. And while we do not yet know all the specifics of our go-forward plan, we commit to enacting a formalized approach for engaging in tough conversations—to seeing, knowing, hearing, understanding, and loving (within our corporate office and throughout our community), moving far past words to implement real changes that better the lives of women we love. We seek to truly see you, to know you, to hear you, to understand the pain you feel (to the highest degree we can), and to love you in meaningful ways.
