Tall ankle supportive sandals for boys and girls. They are tall covering whole ankle. They are light in weight, good support in them and they are not clunky.

They are the best for pronation, pigeon toe, tip toe walking, bow legs, ankle alignment.

Avoid medical orthopedic heavy sandals they are too bulky for a child and over time cause feet to turn inwards and child develops pigeon toe. Sandal for a child cannot be too heavy and overpowering since they will not walk in them well.

Did you know that orthopedic arches are molded into the soles of all genuine European shoes. There is no leather bumps inside of any modern European brand. Back in 2005 Italian factories came out with orthopedic rubber soles and they begun to craft arch support into the sole of shoe. Then the whole orthopedic shoe industry in Europe followed. Rubber is a durable material that never goes flat so support inside is always there, from start of wearing the shoes till the end. The bump it is in the soles and NEVER goes flat.

Back in 1970,1980,1990 and 2000 - factories added the arch bump into the interior lining of the shoe. They either accented with a stitch, or build the innersole inside. Problem with those shoes was that once they were new support was there but over time the bump inside got smaller, flatter, to the point gone! Leather is a soft pliable material so it never stays the same shape (since child foot pressures on the bump inside of the shoe) so the bump was gone toward end of the wear of the shoe. Foot was not supported at all then.

That is the best orthopedic support possible to growing and developing feet. In some shoes you see it from the side, in some you do not but they all have it. There is 4 companies in Europe that all they do is measure kids feet, contour arches to the soles, adjust the width, check flexibility of the soles and they make ALL THE SOLES in Europe.

That is why it is important that all children wear supportive shoes from the day they learn to walk till they teens and their feet stop growing.

Foot Pronation is a serious condition caused by wearing shoes from China with no orthopedic support. It is only corrected with constant wear of European orthopedic shoes only....constant wear of good shoes will align kids feet over time into correct position getting rid of pronation permanently.

Pronation - is easily repairable with European shoes only with reinforced heel support. Notice, shoes, sneakers, high tops, sandals - they have peace of leather in the back of every model to keep ankles sturdy, straight and aligned.

None of the US/China made shoes offer that - look at the sneakers or shoes - they are soft and no reinforced ankle support in them, no structure of any kind. They only cause damage to kids feet.

1. Switch to quality European ankle high sandals/shoes for your child and over time you see correct ankle and foot alignment.

2. Buy 2 pairs for season (5-6 months) and rotate only those quality shoes.

3. Avoid local sneakers, shoes, any shoes produced in China with no orthopedic support and never rotate them with quality shoes as they negatively affect kids feet.

Tall Medical Sandals - are ONLY suited for children with handicap conditions that were caused by accident/trauma or they have diseases of nervous system. Those children have unusual walking pattern can be caused by diseases of the central nervous system (such as cerebral palsy, Parkinson's disease, or multiple sclerosis), or be the result of an injury or deformity in the brain, spinal cord, legs, feet, or inner ear. Gait abnormalities are are also common with those conditions.

Children with pigeon toe, ankle pronation, tip toe walking are suited for lower, ankle supportive sandals. There is no need for heavy, restrictive medical sandals for them! Look on the image orthopedic sandals have

- reinforced ankle support,
- stable heel support, adjustable width,
- light soles
- good leather
- and they do not have to be above the ankle!

Matter of fact not recommended for any child with mild pronation. If you buy bulky, tall heavy medical sandals for your child she/he will develop pigeon toes over time since those sandals are clearly TOO TALL, TOO WIDE and BULKY for her/his feet. (see the last image).
