30 years ago, a little home based business began in a freshly built sewing room in our basement.

1 little portable machine grew to +1 Serger and a Home embroidery and sewing machine thanks to the day I met Larry and Tim Gambrell in Rome at the Gala Shopping center location of Gambrell Singer Sewing Center.
From there, sewing classes and demos for the new Singer Sewing and Embroidery machines in the shop that had now moved to Downtown on Broad street. Larry and Bobby taught me how to service machines as well.
In 2003, a little baseball team was new to town, along with a shiny new Stadium 🏟 Mike Dunn and Terry Morgan stopped in the shop to inquire about a seamstress for the team. 🪡🧵
In 2004, it became Sew Purdy - Singer Sewing Center and the shop was moved to 5th Avenue. One of our customers moved her home based business in with us. Janice Smith and Cassidy are bursting at the seams now with EmPrints of Rome in Armuchee.
Moved everything back to the basement where it all began and currently have the retail shop inside The Magnolia Market Home Decor and More

Lots of Highs and lows, success and failures..
Lots of hard work and Fun. Met lots of people along the way. Most are still friends today.
Lost some great ones along the way. 🥹

After much consideration and prayers, we have made the decision to "retire" Sew Purdy Embroidery & Printing. Dream fulfilled 💝
I will be posting equipment, stock and other various things on Marketplace soon.
