🍋 100 GALLONS OF LEMONADE… Lord help us! 😂🍋
Gunner’s Lemonade Stand for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is getting REAL!
We just purchased 14 giant canisters of Country Time Lemonade — enough to make approximately 100 gallons of lemonade for August 15!
At this point, if Gunner decides to do this again next year, we may need to have a serious conversation with Country Time Lemonade about a sponsorship. 😂
But as funny as 100 gallons of lemonade sounds, the reason behind all of this means so much more to our family.
Gunner wanted to have a lemonade stand for one simple reason: he wants to help other kids.
Our family has been blessed beyond words by St. Jude. Gunner participates in a clinical trial and study there, and through the appointments, testing, research and care, our family has never received a bill from St. Jude.
We have seen firsthand what happens when people give generously, love their neighbors and choose to help families they may never even meet.
And we believe God calls us to do the same.
Sometimes God gives us opportunities to serve in ways we never expected. Sometimes that opportunity might look like something enormous.
And sometimes… it looks like a 9-year-old boy, a lemonade stand and 100 gallons of Country Time. 💙🍋
We don’t know how much money Gunner will raise that day. But we know that God can do incredible things with a willing heart. If one cup of lemonade helps St. Jude continue its research, helps another child receive treatment, or gives another family hope during one of the hardest seasons of their lives, then every bit of this will have been worth it.
To everyone who has donated, volunteered, shared Gunner’s story, prayed for him, encouraged him, or joined Gunner’s Army — thank you.
We truly believe God has placed some incredible people in Gunner’s life, and we are incredibly grateful for every one of you.
