The best time to travel to India, Nepal or Bhutan is either spring or autumn. We aim to hit it just right in April 2025. In Bhutan we will celebrate the Paro Tshechu / Festival. Amid blossoming flowers and lush green landscape the Festival comes alive with vibrant colors, music, dances and other sacred rituals. We will also go to Taktshang Monastery or Tiger’s Nest perched on the side of a cliff 900m above the Paro valley floor. It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived there on the back of a tigress and
meditated at this monastery and hence it is called ‘Tiger’s Nest’.
When we pilgrimage we do not know exactly which element will be our awakening. So It is my job to create auspicious circumstances that have a better than average chance of sparking that inner recognition of our true nature. That is why I am careful to provide enough comfort so that our outer circumstances support our mission. I provide encounters with real people who are sincere practitioners of the Dharma and who can explain in a loving way the path they follow. In other words there are many portals and we have individual karmic responses to each circumstance. I watch as the journey unfolds to see what awakens in each person and of course in myself too. Whether we call an encounter an act of grace or our karma ripening in that moment, it doesn't matter. We celebrate that it is and that we have such good fortune to travel to foreign lands in order to find ourselves.
