Here's a little fun history about the olive leaf pattern vase. Stoneware became the dominant house-ware of the United States circa 1780-1890. Americans began producing Salt-Glazed Stoneware about 1720 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Yorktown, Virginia. Pottery was one of Americas early crafts.

Picnicking is an American that came into its own in the 1890s. Travelers picnicked by stopping on the roadside to enjoy lunch from a picnic basket. Even some early cars were outfitted with picnic gear.
