Using 100% American Milled Organic Cotton fabrics with a focus on practical comfort, to make unique vintage inspired children's clothing in North Carolina, USA. Founded in 2008 by Janice Collier, Janice Collier Designs use only the best quality fabrics to make individually sewn and hand finished clothing and accessories for women, girls and boys. Drafting a new dress today, a sleeveless, princess seam with flare.

I start with the card dress block, on medical paper, make changes, then I transfer onto Pellon using their 830 easy pattern. It's perfect for checking the toile before cutting out the fabric.

So a long weekend spent taking what should be a 4 shaft weaving pattern and changing it to 3 rigid heddles (1st time I've done this). It's proving to be quite a challenge.

My other passion next to sewing is weaving.

I learned to weave at my local guild , I started with a rigid heddle loom and met the very talented Sharon from .

Sharon had been working with these tiny little swatch looms, we were intrigued and excited at the endless possibilities of trying out colour combinations without having to thread a loom to see if our ideas worked.

I am thrilled to have received these fabulous sets and look forward to trying them out shortly.
