Step on up and see the rare Lobster Girl!! π¦π«§πͺ another fun and kitschy take on the classic attractions in the sideshow. There were not many βlobster girlsβ a part of the sideshow, there was, however, a very well known lobster boy; the infamous Grady Stiles. The βlobsterβ deformity is the genetic condition ectrodactyly where the fingers and toes are fused together and look like claws! Gradyβs family actually had a long history of this condition dating back to 1840! He was married twice with four children, two of which also had ectrodactyly. They traveled and performed together billed as βThe Lobster Familyβ Unfortunately he was one of the less favorable performers, became an acolohic and was abusive. In 1978, he m*rdered his eldest daughterβs fiance simply because he did not approve! He confessed and was convicted and sent to prison as no institution was equipped to care for someone with ectrodactyly. In 1992, he was murdered by a fellow sideshow performer. As Iβve always said, there was light and dark, good and evil, in the sideshow, just like anything else in life! Thanks for looking!
