Santa will be in front of the store at 102 E. Main in Hominy on Saturday, December 17th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. The store will not be open during his visit and we asked that everyone dress accordingly for the weather.

We feel that Hominy could use a community clothes closet and the store certainly can provide for it but so far we're unable to find a free or low-cost room or an empty building to house it. Any suggestions would be helpful!

This post is pretty blunt but it needs to be said.

Thank you for all the inquiries and interest in the items listed in the pictures but our store is set up on a first come, first serve basis. Everyone is welcome to stop by Wednesday morning and check out what we have. I don't have a list of the prices nor do I remember most of them and we are not doing holds. I will not be responding to any questions on the posts or in messenger along this line. We do not have any plans to sell on Facebook Marketplace.

The store usually runs about 85° making it very difficult to work in there. It is exhausting and draining even in front of a fan so several of us are taking items home to sort, clean, or repair. We are disposing of any unusable, filthy, or damaged items privately because people will not leave the dumpster alone.

We are trying to set up an atmosphere of fairness so no volunteer or employee at the store is allowed to take or purchase anything until it has been placed out on the floor for sale. The several people that have questioned me about where things are going seriously need to get a life. This is hard work in an unpleasant situation.

We are not able to undo the problems created by the previous tenants but I can assure you that nothing like that will continue while this non-profit is in place. No drugs, no thugs, no bugs.

The store, 102 E. Main, Hominy, will be open on Wednesdays 7-10 am. Here's a preview! We have costume jewelry, clothing, shoes, purses, jeans, bedding, backpacks, DVDs, CDs, VHS tapes, some pet items, kitchen items like dishes, pots, pans and skillets and a TON of pictures, frames and signs.
