Wheaties got its start in 1921 by virtue of a fluke. It was the result of a wheat bran mixture spilling on a hot stove. The heat made it crackled and turn into a crispy brown flake. The Wheaties brand went on to be the sponsor of minor league baseball team – called the “Minneapolis Millers”. After this sponsorship, the brand’s billboards appeared in the park in Minneapolis. On the billboard, there was a box of Wheaties and the following slogan: “Wheaties- The Breakfast of Champions.”

Victoria is credited not only with the trend of a bride wearing a white dress, but the beginning of the figurine wedding topper. Resting upon Queen Victoria and Prince Albert’s cake was a miniature sculpture of the newlyweds. After the royal wedding cake, the figurine cake topper trend exploded, and it became a mainstream fad.

Toy guns have a rich and storied history that dates back centuries. First we need to dive in to the realm of toy gun laws. Yes, gun laws. For toys.
According to a Pennsylvania statue from 1883, toy guns were “arranged as to be capable of being loaded with gunpowder or other explosive substance, cartridges, shot, slugs or balls and being exploded, fired off and discharged.”
Because of this inherent danger, the law limited the sale and possession of toy guns and pistols to minors.
The state of PA said “you’ll shoot your eye out, kid!”
