Yes… I know making something with palaka is sooo original right now 😂

But we wanted to honor its roots as a working person’s pattern, worn by plantation workers and paniolo, by reimagining it as a palaka cardigan for today’s modern worker, everyday wear, and the average 9–5er🤍

Fun fact: we chose blue as a nod to the original palaka, which was blue worn across Hawaiʻi’s plantations and ranch lands.

We don’t really consider ourselves a clothing brand (check out our books and coloring books 👀), but every once in awhile we design pieces we personally want to wear… and then decide to list it for sale. 😊
