Our final Valia Pop Up! We’re excited to be back in our old spot for a pop up next month for one last hurray!

If you told me closing Valia was going to take just as long as opening it, I would have said you were crazy but here we are 10 months later! I have a handful of inventory left and am going to be there with it! I’m hoping to take zero inventory home with me after this event.

The last piece that we had in production finished up. The Mandarin Bauhinia Boys Aloha Shirts were the final Valia Collection items that we were waiting on. ✨Site closing this Sunday✨

I’ve been wanting to close up the site for a long time now and one thing after another keeps me from making the final jump. First it was that we still have stuff in production and then that we just still had some inventory left and then it became just too sad to pull the trigger. So I’m forcing myself this weekend to make Sunday the final day of our site being up. It’s time and I have to be able to move on instead of managing too much on my plate.

Don’t worry, we’ll find a way to take care of our Tessa Pants and boys aloha still in production for all those waiting to purchase. Our IG will still be here. And there’s many ways to service you without our website. It’s just that we have to get things wrapped up. Keeping the site open has hindered a lot of other things from closing and we need to make that final step.

It feels like a lot of hard work is being erased with a little button but Shopify told me I have 2 years to change my mind 🤣 so I guess I have some time to let it settle in. Thank you guys always for being a part of the journey and supporting us. Almost a whole decade of running this store on Shopify! It’s going to take some adjustment on my side but it’ll be a good change.

Last night, I had the privilege of speaking about garment manufacturing and the importance of keeping it local. I got to see UH Manoa’s new space dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship (which by the way is beyond amazing). And I got to learn from an amazing local business owner, Lynn of .line who has been contributing to fashion in our islands for decades. It was an honor to be on a panel with her. I left feeling so inspired! Thank you to for putting together such a great event!
