Today is the Fifth Anniversary of our neighbor Earth Goods Natural Foods under the ownership of Melanie Morrow after The Gericke's (who founded the store) retired. We are so grateful to have Melanie (and her girls) next door and are so proud of her accomplishment getting to this milestone. The first 5 years of any business are hard but to add to the challenge Melanie took over the store at the tail end of Covid, and not long after came the extended state road project that severely affected businesses along this main route in town for such a long time. Our block alone was closed for months during what would have been the busiest season for us. Yet, Melanie, in coordination with suppliers and amazing delivery folks, figured out ways to have those special products and grocery deliveries done every week. As a woman business owner I have deep admiration for her and her accomplishment as I understand the kind of hard work this has required. She and her girls are smart, creative, fun, hard-working, kind and generous. A joy to know and share with! We invite you to join us in wishing them a happy anniversary today!
